Wardrobe Essentials Shoes
When choosing shoes, I like to focus on comfort and style. You will get more out of your shoes when they fit well and feel good, so try on many pairs to find your perfect fit! Below is a list of essentials to get you started!
1. Pumps in black and tan: If I had to pick one shoe, it would have to be the black pump! This shoe is classic and therefore versatile, which will never go out of style! Wear them to work, business meetings, date nights or just dress up any outfit. Pumps in black will go with almost any outfit and for those few others, tan becomes the next best thing.
2. Peep-toe pumps in black: The peep-toe pump is the flirty, sexy version of the classic pump. It is the perfect date night shoe and looks fantastic with dresses. However, it is not appropriate in a corporate setting.

3. Sandals in black and tan: Sandals are a must have for Spring and Summer months. Although they are not appropriate in a business setting, they are worn with various outfits. Black and tan are your essentials, because if black won't work for your outfit then chances are that tan will. Wear them when going out to dinner dates, weddings, and cocktail parties. Paired with fun dresses makes them extra flirty!
4. Flats in black: We all have those days where wearing heels is just not going to work out. Just like a classic pump, a classic flat is also versatile and also appropriate in a business setting. They are great for walking long distance and very chic when paired with the right wardrobe.

5. Flat sandals/flip-flops: Picking a color combination of black and brown will make your life easier when it's time to pair them with your outfit. They are casual and comfortable for daily wear. Pick flip-flops with a bit of cushioning on the sole for better comfort.
6. Boots in black: Boots are the best pick during the Fall and Winter months. They keep your feet warm and dry.
7. Sneakers: Take care of the most important asset, your health! Pick comfortable sneakers that will support the arches of your feet and won't strain your feet during exercise, running or walking.
8. Bonus: fun shoe: The not-your-classic shoe! Choose a pair that is in style that particular season and one that shows off your personality. Go with a wild print, unique design or bright color!

Wardrobe Essentials Tops and Outerwear
We are continuing the Wardrobe Essentials Series with tops and outerwear. Again, remember that the essentials are the classic pieces you build your wardrobe on, but can also help you create complete outfits on their own.
1. White button down shirt: A shirt that is perfect for work and at the same time can dress up your jeans or shorts. This is a classic that won't go out of style.

2. Tank top in black and beige: For those tops that are revealing or sheer, tank tops can be worn underneath for coverage. Black or beige will pair with most colors.
3. T-shirt in black and white: Quick, comfortable and efficient style for everyday wear. A structured t-shirt can also be paired with slacks for work.
4. Classic cardigan: If your office is kept cool, chances are you will need something to keep you warm. If you want something light to put on, but not have a hard time carrying home, a cardigan is the perfect fit.
5. Blazer: A must have for work or a more formal setting. Also works great for dressing up jeans.
6. Jacket: A light jacket for those months in-between seasons, where it isn't cold enough to wear a coat and not hot enough to not cover up.
7. Trench coat: A must have for the colder seasons. Make sure to pick a good quality coat to last you for many years.

Wardrobe Essentials Bottoms
Wardrobe essentials are not what's on trend now, but more of classic pieces that form the foundation of your wardrobe. They are the bare essentials that you can build on.
*Style tip: Long pants that aren't ankle pants should not drag on the floor as they will quickly become damaged and thus look sloppy. Ideally, your pants should reach and cover the back of your heel.
1. Jeans in a dark and light wash: The most worn pants in your closet are most likely jeans. Two basic colored jeans can help you create a lot of outfits. Choose a dark wash for going out and creating a more sophisticated look. A light wash is perfect for everyday wear and casual outfits.
2. Dress pants/trousers in black and beige: The basic color to go with everything is black. Dress pants are essential work items and having at least two colors can create many outfits. A dressy pant is perfect for any business setting, court appearances, lunch meetings and any other setting where you wish to look your best and appear professional. Beige is a great replacement for black and will most likely go with everything where black isn't an option.
3. Casual pants: Have a pair of casual pants to replace your jeans, but retain the comfort.2. Dress pants/trousers in black and beige: The basic color to go with everything is black. 4. Lounge/yoga pants: Lounge or yoga pants are great for when you just want to take it easy and relax. They also work well during exercising, they are stretchy and allow for easy movement.
5. Shorts casual and denim: During hot Summer months, shorts can be your best friend. Jean shorts are great for everyday wear, as well as going to the beach. Having another pair of shorts in a neutral color that isn't denim gives you the benefit of shorts, but is more sophisticated.
6. Pencil skirt: Choose a well fitting pencil skirt. A pencil skirt is great for a business setting, and paired with a gorgeous top is perfect for a dinner date and going out.
7. A-line skirt: An A-line skirt is more comfortable, because it isn't body hugging, but is still great for work and even everyday wear.
8. Maxi skirt: The maxi is the ultimate comfort skirt. A white or beige maxi is great for the Spring and Summer months and if you still want to wear one during Fall, just wear leggings underneath and a chic pair of boots to keep you warm.
